I hear you very hard on this. In so many ways I find the comprehensive government failure and apathy harder to deal with than the plague itself (if not entirely surprising). It just...didn't have to be this bad and yet here we all are, trying our best to figure out how to deal with the unending nonsense. I hope you figure out adaptations that work well for you in the meantime.
