Thinking About The Decentralized Web on the Decentralized Web
Part of my goal with my websites is to try to think about how to improve the decentralized web to make it a more viable option to others, both from a technical perspective and a social perspective. I also want to look at the problem both from a very practical HOWTO perspective when that's possible and from a more philosophical and political perspective. I think the latter is just as important as the former, and considerably more neglected.
Sometime I hope to update my website specifically devoted to the topic, The New Old Web, some more. However, I also do post about this on my general purpose website, Unspeakablehorror's Site. While I think my contributions to this area will necessarily always be small, I hope they will be of some value.

And the Winner is EPUB!
This was a very helpful poll for me! Got more responses than I expected to. While my particular choice of words and the audience this was presented to could have skewed the results, I do suspect that a lot of people do like EPUBs and a small but significant percentage prefer PDFs.
I suspect that a lot more people are willing to read books in HTML than this poll indicates because I think many people are willing to read books online even if that's not a format they generally prefer to download. I also think the lack of download preference for html is partly due to there generally not being an option to download it on mobile (which could be given by a webmaster) and partly due to it often downloading in inconvenient ways, such as in multiple files, which can also be remedied.
