Me vs Me

My fear of never expressing my deepest held beliefs because what's the point of even having them if I don't express them vs my fear that I won't argue well enough for them thus making them even more unpopular than if I never said anything at all. Fight time.

My fear of never expressing my deepest held beliefs because what's the point of even having them if I don't express them vs my fear that doing so will be too much of a drain on my time and emotional resources without delivering anyone sufficient benefits to justify the loss. Fight time.

Ramble-tags: And confrontation issues scores a decisive point!, though this point is not unassailable, because one can't really know in advance if something they say will make a difference, or sometimes even in retrospect, as I've heard elsewhere, sometimes you plant the seeds of something without ever seeing them grow, the implication being that they *do* grow, but you may not be there to see it happen

A Thought On Heroes

Anyway, here's a political thought for today: investing all our hopes in the idea that some great hero will save us from our problems will always be less powerful than banding together and working to save ourselves.

Bok Choy!

Really not a fan of dealing with this post-apocalyptic wasteland we all live in but in better news I saved the end of a bok choy and put it in some water in a glass jar and now it is growing!  Yes, I am very excited about this.  Don't know how big it will get but it took less than a day of sitting in my window for the tiny yellow leaves growing out of the end to turn bright green so that was pretty cool.
