Gochujang Glazed Tempeh

I made some gochujang glazed tempeh yesterday and I absolutely loved it.  The ingredients I used for the gochujang sauce were:

* gochujang

* rice vinegar

* maple syrup

* toasted sesame seed oil

* garlic powder

* chopped garlic

* chopped ginger

* sesame seeds

I cooked the tempeh with a splash of water for a few minutes, refilling a couple times after the water evaporated. Then I poured in some canola oil and the gochujang sauce and cooked everything for a few more minutes. I ate it over some jasmine rice.

10/10 would make again.

Seaweed is Delicious

I put nori in my teriyaki tempeh rice bowl earlier and it was exquisite. How did this never occur to me before?

Tempeh!

Teriyaki marinated tempeh is one of my favorite foods. I had a bowl of it with rice, flax seeds, and chia seeds for dinner, and I enjoyed it greatly. I like to use my pantry foods up so they don't sit around for years and years, so I like to try them in different things to see what I think. This combo worked well for me so I want to continue using it.

Tempeh!

Made myself some tempeh and vegetables last night with a homemade jerk sauce.  I don't have any scotch bonnet peppers, and they might be too hot for me anyway (even if the taste buds are willing, my digestive system may not be alas), but I used some fresh jalapeno and poblano peppers instead and mixed them in with the other chopped vegetables and spices.  Anyway, I enjoyed this one alot, even more than my last jerk sauce, which I really loved.

Sometime I do want to try making it with the scotch bonnet peppers, since I've heard they have a unique flavor, but that's probably not something I'd be able to do on the regular.
