I wonder if the reason why group projects are so often painful is that society is set up more for competition than collaboration, and we're never taught how to deal with disagreement or confrontation, how to compromise effectively and fairly, or how to consider other people's feelings. Some people are taught these things by their parents or others outside school, but some of us aren't so lucky (I was never taught any of that lol). We're often also not allowed to pick the people we collaborate with.

Am making my teryaki tempeh-kimchi vegetable stir fry. I make this differently depending on my mood and what spices and vegetables and oils I have, but it's one of my favorite fusion food type things. I used canola and peanut and toasted sesame oil, a premixed curry spice, extra turmeric (because I love turmeric) and garlic powder. I also have a very fancy kimchi with a number of minced vegetables like carrot along with the cabbage. I've used corn and green beans and straw mushrooms for the vegatables and/or mushrooms because that's what I had available. I also added in some of the tomato-containing gochujang sauce.

The category of sci-fi that I find extremely fun but with depressingly bad societal and political takes is as wide and deep as the ocean. And the thing is, a lot of these stories could be really interesting and nuanced, and sometimes grasp really hard at more complex ideas, but they just don't seem to quite reach them. And then they fall over sideways and set themselves on fire.

Lookin' at you, Star Wars (and so, so many others).

Ate this delicious baked apple today. Yesterday I made two baked apples and stored this one in the fridge for later. I was going to heat it but it smelled so delicious even without heating I just ate it cold. Was as good cold as the fresh one was hot! These were made very simply, with white sugar since I didn't have any brown sugar. I also used cinnamon, a bit of nutmeg, and a bit of vanilla extract. I preheated the oven at 350 F (~175 C) and baked for 40 min.

Hello, and welcome to my food blog!
