Native Hawaiians are protesting the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) observatory on Mauna Kea, which not only planned to be built on a sacred site for the native Hawaiians, but is also planned to be built over a major aquifer for the island. Stopping this imperialist violence is a necessary step to making science as it is practiced today truly ethical. The TMT should not be built on Mauna Kea.
