Me Complaining About Generational Divisiveness

Generations are not coherent social classes.  Also I find it interesting that whenever peole talk about generational strife of late  it's always boomers vs millennials, so it's basically just older adults vs younger adults at this point.  It's almost like Gen Z doesn't exist in these conversations, because that would maybe place Millennials in a less-than-flattering light in terms of power differentials.  And I can't even imagine what the deal is with Gen X lol (truly a forgotten generation).

Anyway,  rich old white men and rich young white men seem...remarkably similar in their goals and attitudes.  Old impoverished POC and young impoverished people of color deal with similar racism and classism.  I wonder why that is?
