Got a pholcidae spider (aka daddy longlegs or cellar spider) near my bed.  Haven't bothered to move it this time, though I did last time I found one near my bed.  I wonder if this is the same one, since last time I just moved it to a different place in my room.  Though I'm somewhat arachnophobic, I'm also greatly fascinated by spiders and loathe killing them, so I keep a variety of plastic and glass containers handy to catch any that I want to move. Pholcidae spiders are the type of spider I'm least afraid of, though I find hopping spiders cuter.

I used to have severe arachnophobia as a child but I am much less afraid of spiders as an adult, though I nevertheless tend to be averse to the idea of them crawling on me.  Pholcidae are the only spiders I'd be okay with letting crawling on me, hence my relative lack of concern with one being near my bed.

I find it interesting that these spiders share the daddy longlegs nickname with a type of arachnids that aren't even spiders, the opiliones.  Of course, they both have long legs, but the similarities end there, as opiliones are even more harmless than pholcidae spiders, and unlike all spiders, opiliones only have one body segment rather than two.  They're also usually found outdoors whereas pholcidae spiders tend to live indoors. Additionally, opiliones have no silk glands to weave webs with.
