A lot of arguments against political approaches besides reformism seem to boil down to 'but it's hard' and while true, seem to miss the point of why people have issues with reformism in the first place.  For me I can say that my issue with reformism is that it tries to solve the problem with a different version of the problem.  A lot of reformism I see as akin to 'the fire is burning up our house so we need to make it a smaller fire'.  Actually, we need to put the entire thing out!  Is that harder? Yes!  Is it necessary? Also yes.

Being against reformism isn't being against harm reduction, either.  A person can recognize that all they can do is put a little bit of the fire out so maybe someone can escape in time or rescue the cat still stuck in the house and also recognize that that is not the solution to the problem.
