Ate some teriyaki tofu and broccolini with jasmine rice which I topped with ground flaxseed, white and black sesame seeds, nori flakes, and walnuts. This topping not only adds flavor and texture, but may also be doubling as an analgesic.
As I've mentioned in earlier posts, eating more seeds and nuts may be a contributor to me not being in agonizing pain due to my current condition, so I've been trying to put them in as many things as I can. Sadly nothing can actually fix my current issue except surgery, but while I'm waiting for that I'll take not being in agonizing pain, yeah. Like it's not zero pain, I can still tell it's there, but it is so exponentially better.
Been watching as many videos as I can find of people getting surgery for this condition, and they almost invariably describe similar pain (or worse) to what I was experiencing earlier, so that is apparently a common symptom for this. Like me, the pain was what generally prompted them to visit the doctor. A lot of them also describe a lot of post-surgical pain, which I expected, but I'm definitely not looking forward to. And there's definitely people who had less or more painful experiences, but regardless I still expect it to be one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. And very possibly it will top all my previous experiences. So I have that to look forward to.
And I guess the funny thing is that given my history I seem to have a pretty high pain tolerance. But I also really, really hate pain.
