Am reading the second Darth Bane novel. Some thoughts:

*This novel is extremely gory.  Which goes with the theme, sure, but you won't be seeing these death scenes rendered in any Star Wars film haha.

*Darth Bane is experiencing hallucinatory Force Ghosts. I'll bet Plagueis would love to compare notes over this.  I would love to see the argument that would likely ensue about 'real vs hallucinatory' Force ghosts.  Something in the vein of 'no I was experiencing real hallucinatory Force ghosts, your Force Ghost was not a real hallucination because he was actually real and also you ticked him off'.  Also 'what do you mean you think I'm a hallucinatory Force Ghost, too?  Now you're ticking me off...' and so on.

*Darth Bane leaves Zannah by herself to find her way off planet claiming this is her Sith trial, but personally I think he's just not used to having a child around and wants a reprieve from the endless questions.  Sith Parenting Style: Neglect.

*Darth Bane is the worst driver.  Ever.  You didn't miss anything, Zannah.  Though imagining the alternate scenario of him taking her along and slapping a 'baby on board' sticker on the outside does provide some amusement.  Better yet, he adds a 'baby on board' sticker for every year of her life, because one child is equivalent to their age in babies, right?

the thing I most remember about the third Bane book is the fact that the major characters are like, for once(!), 2/3 female. It is the only Star Wars book I've read like that so far.
