Fascinating--that's certainly a different angle! Kyber crystal electric plants for all!
I'm interested in Palpatine stories whether redemption is involved or not, I just have an extra additional interest in that particular subject matter because it's so rare in execution. I may read your stories sometime, but I am also pretty bad about reading fanfiction. I think the problem is that even if the concept sounds interesting, I have difficulty getting myself to actually start reading the story. Or if I do manage to start something, to finish it. Not that I don't manage it eventually sometimes. But a lot of times, I'll just stare at a fic, think 'hmmm, sounds interesting' but then just not read it. Pretty much everything I've eventually read was also something I probably contemplated reading dozens of time before but then thought 'hmmm, not today'.
The Palpatine stories I've enjoyed the most, regardless of his eventual fate, tend to not only put a lot of thought into characterization, but also generally have to mesh somewhat with how I see the character. Even though I'm flexible in some respects to how I interpret characters, there are just certain things I want to see from them. I also enjoy gratuitous action scenes, though. It can sometimes be hard to find stories that really lean into both of those things.
