Did some cleaning and got rid of some old stuff I haven't looked at or used in years (or sometimes ever). When I was younger I would keep most the things I got for free even when I had no interest or intention of ever using them (which was a lot of the time). At some point I began to think of some of those things as momentos of different time periods. But I have much better momentos of those time periods that are actually worth keeping and I don't need or want to keep every single plastic freebie I ever acquired. Anyway, I can't actually accomodate these items space-wise, so they have to go. I got rid of them along with some useless knickknacks I unwillingly aquired and some things that were once useful to me but aren't anymore.

I took a picture of all the things I got rid of so that they could still serve as momentos if I wanted them to. I seem to recall that I got that idea from Marie Konmari and I've found it very helpful for getting rid of things I'm irrationally clinging to.
