Likeability is Overrated

unspeakablehorrorTo each their own but personally I do not have to like the protagonist as a person to appreciate or even enjoy a story. Have read many novels I cherish where I'd love to shove the protag into a woodchipper. Sometimes the author even does this sort of thing intentionally.
