Alas, My Unreliable Brain

I don't feel like I'm reliably good at certain things.  I think sometimes I just...don't know how to do thing...even though I very definitively learned how to do thing and have certainly been capable of thing at various points.  I feel like my brain rolls a dice to figure out what it can do at any given time.  And I mean for some things it's only mildly annoying but for other things it's really quite painful.
