My Privacy Obsession

My strong psychological desire to safeguard inane information like my shoe size is...really something else.  Like, there's plenty of things I avoid mentioning publicly for straightforward reasons, such as avoiding dispensing certain pieces of information about myself that would more precisely locate my axes of oppression.  This is because from what I've seen of other people's interactions, it doesn't make bad people treat you any better, and good people don't need you to detail your oppression or suffering to them to treat you like a human being.  So while this choice is not without it's own consequences, I find it's a good way to avoid a certain amount of targeted harassment.

But stuff like the shoe size thing is maybe just me being weird.
