Socializing

I've spent so much of my life hiding how bad I am at socializing by not socializing, but I'm trying to work on that more as an adult.  I hate that that means that there are so many things I've had to learn as an adult that a lot of children already know from experience.  On the other hand, I do fortunately know some things that I didn't have to learn directly because I watch other people's social interactions very carefully.  It's just that there are some things it's hard to learn that way.  A certain amount of actually doing things is necessary for understanding them.
