In Which I Express a Videogame Opinion

This is a possibly controversial opinion, but story quality is a valid metric by which to judge a videogame.  This is not to say that it's the only valid metric, but the idea that the story of a game is just an extraneous part and can't be intrinsic to the overall quality of a game is, I feel, miguided.
