Politics Conundrums

unspeakablehorrorOn the one hand I want to talk more about politics on my blog(s) than I do because that's immensely important, and it's immensely important to me. On the other hand, my intense dislike of confrontation means that it's a topic I often avoid. I know that that's certainly a topic that lends itself to combative exchanges which I tend not to have either the desire or energy to deal with.
My other problem is the pull between my desire to be thorough and articulate and my desire to be lazy and not have to think too hard about posts (I don't worry so much about persuasive because I don't actually believe that's a quality that's particularly contingent on the ability of the person explaining something--rather the ability to persuade is extremely contingent on the listener's/reader's ability and willingness to be persuaded).
