Finished The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms

I finished The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms recently and I found it an extremely satisfying story.  The ending was both unexpected to me and did a great job tying up the various threads of the story.  I plan to read the sequel when I can.  There were many times this story was difficult to read for me, and many times it was immensely gratifying, and some times that it was both.  Yeine was an intriguing protagonist and I also found this the first time I've read a published story where a matriarchal culture wasn't presented in an insulting way.  But that's just one of the many reasons I enjoyed this story.
