Adulthood

The idea that people don't continue to develop as individuals after adulthood is just so strange to me.  People are so obsessed with youth.  Even when I was a younger adult I feel like my understanding and approach to the world was quite different, and it's been through many iterations since then.  Adulthood has so many dynamic possibilities, and I feel like too many people treat it like it's some static endpoint rather than a continuation of the journey of life.

Completely agree. Another thing that gets me is when someone gets stuck in the mindset that they're too OLD to change.

Yes, that's an unfortunately common sentiment. Another attitude about adulthood that I dislike is the one where a person assumes someone will grow out of some belief when they get older, when simple observation shows that adults have a wide range of mutually incompatible beliefs, including whatever it is they were assuming the other person would 'grow out of'. But people don't grow out of beliefs, so much as change their mind sometimes, and there's no guarantee whether or in what direction that will happen. People are just different that way.
