If You Were the Senate, Palpatine, Wookiepedia Would Be A Lot More Helpful On That Topic

I'm trying to figure out more about how the Galactic Senate works in Star Wars.  Like, the details of how it actually functions.  The political process.   This is frustrating to me for a number of reasons.

Read the book Darth Plagueis by James Luceno- there is a /lot/ about the working of the Galactic Senate in that book. Since the time Palpatine is a teenager to his master's death and hints of how it works out.

There's certainly a decent amount about the Senate in the Darth Plagueis novel, which is one of the things I enjoy about it, but a novel isn't really going to go into the kinds of things I'm looking for in this regard. Darth Plagueis includes some intriguing background for other events that were going on leading up to and during the Phantom Menace, which I think do serve to help foreground the Senate more.

But I'm not trying to get more background for events like the Senate reacting to the Yinchorri Crisis or the, ah, infighting between politicians like Palpatine and the gran Senator Pax Teem.

With as much as Darth Plagueis is about politics, it really only hints about the inner workings of the Senate itself. Which is really all that could be expected of it, given that it needs to be telling a story.

I'm more looking for a manual of Senate rules and regulations guidebook. The kind of guidebook that would never be saleable because most people would fall asleep just thinking about reading it lol.
