The Scent of Nothing

So recently I bought some unscented soap and...it really smells like absolutely nothing.  Cleans perfectly well but absolutely no smell.  I have never before encountered a soap that smelled this much like nothing.  Every other unscented soap I've encountered has a 'soap' smell, but not this. 

Just the scent of pure, undistilled, essense of nothing.  I feel like I could obtain true scent invisibility by bathing with this soap.  Like I could just no longer have any discernable smell at all.

I'm so curious now about how this works/how it works out to "nothing" - not even a constituent ingredient smell?

So, to clarify, the soap itself does have a mild scent which seems somewhat reminiscent of sawdust to me. However, it does not seem to leave any scent residue after washed off as many other soaps do.

It is from a brand called Dr. Jacobs and is a pure castille soap. I'm fond of castille soaps because they are very multipurpose. The ingredients are purified water, saponified coconut oil, saponified olive oil, potassium oleate, vegetable glycerin, sea salt, aloe vera, and vitamin E.

My experience is that this soap is essentially like a scent eraser, generating an absolute void of scent wherever it is used.
