Narrative Choices and Consequences

I do think about the fact that my future choices for Heart of Shadow are either one of 1.) shave off some likely future narrative choices that I think really enrich both the theme of the story and my personal gratification so as to keep the story more generally palatable or 2.) add in that content and the corresponding tags and introduce the risk that people will find the unconventionality offputting in one way or another, resulting in considerably fewer people being willing to read or comment on the story and some possible (even if perhaps overestimated by myself) chance of social ostracization.
And I mean, I'm going to choose 2, but still, I can't help but feel a little sad about it.
And sure I could also just omit the tags, but I want people who are actually looking for those things to be able to find them, and people who don't want to engage with those things to be able to avoid them. So I don't really want to leave such things out.
Also, these tags aren't going to have anything to do with character deaths or anything of that nature--in general I don't reveal character deaths or the lack thereof in tags as I consider that a spoiler.
