Fanfic Writing

I have just been doing so much writing.  Still going to probably be a while before I finish another chapter because I absolutely do not write scenes in chronological order, but I was writing a possible scene for the next chapter of Heart of Shadow  today and I am just having so much fun with it.  This scene has more of a personal focus, in contrast to the last chapter, which focused more on the wider political plots going on.  I really enjoy developing both the personal lives of the characters and moving along the larger space politics plots, but it can be tricky to find the right balance.  I want to do it all at once, but I have to prioritize, haha.

I have characters comm each other a lot because a lot of times two characters aren't in the same place but I want them to both be in the same scene.  Space cell phones are a really nice plot device.  Plus the holograms in Star Wars mean there's the added context of body language available for description.
