Anxieties Over Weird Pains
Jan. 30th, 2022 09:16 pmJust some vague anxieties I currently have. I don't care if people want to read, but I'm putting them under a cut so they can be avoided if desired.
Been having some weird pains recently. While I do not at all think this is covid and this is not entirely a new development it does worry me somewhat. I've looked them up and it's predictably one of those things where online sources say 'oh, quite possibly it's no big deal or ...maybe you are about to die'. Which seems to be the case with just about everything one looks up. 'You should go to the doctor for this right away if you think it's serious' seems to be the automatic refrain for, like, 90% of all symptoms. How do I know if it's serious?! 'Don't self-diagnose' the doctors say but then you're also expected to be able to diagnose if Random Pain #765 is Serious.
And right now in addition to my usual reticence to going to the doctor unless I think I can communicate a clear issue they can address beyond vague Symptoms (because I feel like otherwise they'll just brush it off as no big deal and I'll have wasted time money and energy on the whole ordeal), I also have fear of catching The Covid.
Anyway, hope I don't have any life-threatening issues during this time, covid or otherwise, because I don't think hospitals are doing at all well right now.
