Writing Nonfiction

I really want to get myself to write better essays, and better nonfiction in general.  I know I can do it, but I have to be more organized and deliberate about it.  It would just be nice to be able to communicate the things that I'm thinking.  I do think my conflict aversion is a considerable obstacle here, too, but I do think I need to be at least a little more accepting of conflict than I currently am.  At least to the extent that I don't disappear at the first sign of potential conflict.
