I've got to say, as much as the sequels annoy me (especially TROS, my beloathed), they certainly did stick to the atypical messaging of the Star Wars movies as a series, which is that romance leads to marriage and marriage leads to sex and that if you have any of these things you WILL turn evil and/or die.
