At What Cost Productivity?

I definitely think there's such a thing a destructive 'productivity', and that in fact this has become quite commonplace. We're encouraged to deprive ourselves of sleep, of food, of exercise, of entertainment and social bonds for the sake of it, we're given more money to harm people with our 'productivity' than we are to help them, we are taught to view greater and greater production as good, even if it only ends up filling up a landfill, even when more people are impoverished and homeless every year when perfectly edible food is burned on farms or carted off to landfills in massive quantities and when more and more houses and apartments sit empty.
