Three Things
Jun. 24th, 2019 04:17 amI was given three things by
rugessnome, so here they are:
radishes
While I don't generally care for those red radishes in salads, I love a lot of the other kinds of radishes I've encountered. I really like daikon radishes, for example. I also enjoy wild radish, of which all parts are edible but typically the leaves and flowers and long seed pods are the most eaten parts (though the root is edible, I believe).
soup
I buy split pea and lentil soup a lot. That maybe sounds boring but I just like both of those soups a lot. I really like potato leek soup a lot too, but it's hard to find cans of that, and even the few canned versions I've found that didn't seem completely unacceptable just weren't tasty to me so if I want that I have to make it myself. I do make soup from scratch but not that often, though I've made miso soup a fair number of times because I find it easy and tasty. I like to add some seaweed and noodles to make it a bit more filling. I also like pumpkin soup, but that's a soup I've rarely had because it's not something I've found satisfactory canned when I find it at all and it's one I find time consuming to make in a satisfactory fashion.
stitch
I'd like to learn to sew, because it's just such an incredibly useful skill, but I don't really know how. One thing I'd really like is just to be able to repair tears in clothing, just basic but really useful stuff like that. But I'd also like to be able to do more complicated things, like make alterations on clothes. Learn how to sew pockets, so I could sew my own custom pockets in all my clothes. I try to buy clothes that have lots of pockets to begin with, but there can never be too many pockets. I'd like to be able to do more than that, but that also seems quite a bit out of reach considering my current abilities (or rather, lack thereof).
If you'd like me to give you three things so you can do the meme, just let me know!
