US Amazon Strike during Amazon Prime Day

The strike will take place at a Shakopee, Minnesota warehouse. The Awood Center has provided assistance with organizing the strike:

The Awood Center is a Minnesota based organization. Their mission statement is as follows:
"The Awood Center is a place for the East African Community to learn, defend our rights at work, and build East African worker power."
You can show solidarity with the striking workers by boycotting Amazon during the strike.

Uber and Lyft strike
May. 4th, 2019 02:15 amSo, I saw this on a Tumblr post, but since I don't update my Tumblr blog anymore I thought I'd post it somewhere I do. There's an Uber and Lyft strike on May 8th:

I know I don't have a huge audience, but I do like to encourage people to avoid using a company's product or service when their workers are striking. I don't personally use either service myself at all, but I know there are a lot of people who do. So if you do use Uber or Lyft, please stand in solidarity with the workers and use a different form of transit for travel on that day.
