Dec. 7th, 2018 08:04 amBecause Lord Terrin is extremely antagonistic towards two of my favorite characters in Ascent (Ghirahim and Link), some might tend to assume that I as the author find him unlikeable, but nothing could be further from the truth.
I'm a villains person. I love antagonists. The only time I don't like a character is if I personally find them boring or flat or viscerally unpleasant in some way. But for the most part, I don't design OC's like that. My OC's are designed to tick off as many of my self-indulgences as possible, especially those OC's with an important role in the story. As one of the few characters in Ascent who survived the first war, Terrin has a pivotal role to play in the story, and he will also have a major part in my upcoming Ancient Cistern arc.
And he's one of my favorite characters to write.
